Can Someone be "Too Conservative" to Run for Public Office?

Can Someone be "Too Conservative" to Run for Public Office?

I've heard this statement far too often by too many people. I have to address this issue.
Every time I hear this from people I know, the lamestream media or strangers I bump into around Town I have to cringe and grit my teeth alittle bit. It bothers me and rubs me the wrong way big time!
The term "Too Conservative" doesn't make any sense to me at all.
How can anyone be considered or labeled "Too Conservative"?
I honestly believe that you're either Conservative or you're not.
Being called "Too Conservative" by someone is the same as being called "Too American" or "Too Patriotic".
If someone is claiming to be a Conservative and campaigning on Conservative Principles, what's the problem?
Why are some challenging this candidate?
If someone is campaigning as a Conservative and fights for Limited Government, Cutting Taxes and Free Market Solutions for the problems facing America today, What's the problem?
Why are some still challenging this candidate?
If someone is campaigning on Limited, Responsible and Constitutional Government, What's the problem?
Why are some still challenging this candidate?
I still hear some people say things like "Palin shouldn't run for President because she's Too Conservative" or "Christine O'Donnell didn't win her Senate seat because she was Too Conservative" I think these are very ignorant or naive statements to make. Especially if you identify yourself as a Conservative, a Tea Party Patriot a Republican or a right leaning independent. This is just unacceptable language out of an educated, informed and intelligent person to say. Those who know should know better than to allow such foolishness slip out of our mouths.
What makes people say such foolish things like this anyways?

These people in the media or around town in your personal life who say things like this expose themselves as the people who are not Conservative enough or Patriotic enough or American enough to boldly stand up and defend Conservative Principles as they know they should be. It's their guilty Conscience for their lack of articulation or crediable defense of Conservatism that makes them say things like this.

I think it stems from lack of a solid foundation of what a Conservative is, what Conservatism is and what the Tea Party Movement is about. There's no other excuse or reason one could express such nonsense without a strong grasp of what Conservatism is or who a Conservative is.

I know there are many of my so called FaceBook "Friends" on here that claim to be Conservative or challenge my view of Conservatism. That's fine but Conservatism wasn't born yesterday. It has a rich American Proud American History.

"Conservatives" Are Single-Largest Ideological Group
Percentage of "liberals" higher this decade than in early '90s
Thus far in 2009, 40% of Americans interviewed in national Gallup Poll surveys describe their political views as conservative, 35% as moderate, and 21% as liberal. This represents a slight increase for conservatism in the U.S. since 2008, returning it to a level last seen in 2004. The 21% calling themselves liberal is in line with findings throughout this decade, but is up from the 1990s.

Election 2010: Polls show that more voters consider themselves conservative
Exit polls showed a surge of voters identifying themselves as conservative. Nationally, the electorate was more conservative than in 2006 by nine percentage points and more so than in 2008 by seven points. Poll findings in swing states mirrored those numbers, with Ohio showing an 11-point rise in conservative voters and Wisconsin a 10-point increase.
Pollsters had been predicting stronger enthusiasm on the right than on the left for much of the year, and the conservative base did not disappoint.

Tea Party candidates win key races
NATIONAL RESULTS
November 03, 2010
By Nedra Pickler, Associated Press
Washington - — Voters embraced the Tea Party's conservative throw-the-bums-out anthem in key races across the country, with the movement's favored candidates taking more than a dozen House seats held by Democrats, three Senate races and the South Carolina governorship.

The movement did not make a complete sweep despite a strong anti-Democratic climate, with the most prominent losses coming from Tea Party stars Christine O'Donnell of Delaware and Sharron Angle of Nevada. Angle couldn't overcome Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, and O'Donnell was soundly defeated after old videos emerged of her discussing witchcraft, masturbation and mice with human brains

'Tea party' candidates win GOP contests in Delaware, New York
In New Hampshire, an establishment-backed Republican appears to be fending off a challenge from the right.
September 15, 2010
By Kathleen Hennessey and Michael A. Memoli, Tribune Washington Bureau

The insurgent "tea party" movement vanquished the Republican Party establishment Tuesday as an underdog candidate for U.S. Senate in Delaware won a primary that had become a national proxy war for the heart of the GOP.

Conservative activist Christine O'Donnell, a perennial candidate with no experience in elective office, defeated longtime Rep. Michael N. Castle — a dramatic finale to a primary season dominated by the small-government movement's revolt against moderate elements of the GOP.

How did Sarah Palin's Candidates that she Endorsed do in the 2010 Mid Term Elections?
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/special/politics/palin_tracker/

My Main Point about Conservatives and Conservatism is Today's Conservatives are the MAJORITY and the Liberal Democrats are THE CULT MINORITY! That can Not be Stated Enough!

We Who Identify Ourselves as Conservatives or Tea Party Patriots or Conservative Independents or Whatever Need to Find Our backbones and Spines NOW!

We're the Loud, Proud, Vigilant & Resolute Patriots Who are Holding the Line in Defense of what Most of us grew up beleiving in Traditional All-American True Blue Conservative Principles. We have Nothing to be Afraid of or Ashamed of.

We're the Patrick Henrys, Paul Reveres and James Madisons of Our Generation Who are Standing Tall & Speaking Out Against the Big Government, Big Spending Tyrants of Our Time. This is Our Time to Protect Our Families, Friends, Neighbors, Co Workers and Customers by INFORMING & EDUCATING them about the Agenda to Steal Away their Rights, Freedom and Liberty that so Many Have Fought Bravely and Courageously & Died for. We owe it to Past Generations and Future Generations to be Good Stewarts of this Nation. We Owe Our Fore Fathers as Well as Our Future Kids, Grandkids and Great GrandKids to Stay Ever Resolute and Most Vigilant in Our Efforts to Thwart Our Radical Liberal Progressives Who Wish to Change America into something America was Never meant or Intended to become.

Look My Definition of Who a Conservative is:
A Conservative is a Person of Faith Who Believes as the Founding Fathers Believed as Written & Signed in the Declaration of Independence that "All Men are Created Equally, Endowed with Unalienable Rights to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. Every Single Signer of the Declaration of Independence Believed in GOD and Creating a Civil Society of Liberty and Freedom of Religion NOT From Religion. The Constitution was Written to Limit Government's Power & Authority with 3 Branches for Checks & Balances. Conservatives are Originalists Who Believe in keeping Government's Power & Authority Enumerated as Defined by THE CONSTITUTION. To be a Conservative, You have to Believe in God, the Constitution and Keeping the Government's Power & Authority Enumerated. Less Government, the Better. Less Taxes, the Better. The Federal Government's Principled Responsibility is to the CITIZEN. Each and Every Single American Citizen should expect it's Government to Provide a Strong National Defense from attacks by both Foreign and Domestic. That is the Form of Government the Founding Fathers Instituted with the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. Conservatives Believe as they Believed.

You're either Conservative or You're Not. Forget being a "Constitutional Conservative" or "American Conservative" Those are two silly nonsense Made up Titles. You're either Conservative or You're Not. No Need to put further titles in front of the word Conservative. You either ARE a Conservative or You're Not. Just leave the Word the way it is. It's Fine just Perfect the way it is.

Adding qualifiers does not change who one is, nor should it be necessary. In fact, I tend to get a little suspicious when people feel the need to add qualifiers to their conservative title. Remember GW Bush's 2000 campaign when he adopted and popularized the term "Compassionate Conservative"? I cringed when I first heard that. True conservatives already know that conservatism is compassionate (at least as much as an ideology can be). I know he was trying to reach out to a broader bunch of folks, and maybe it worked. But I was left with feelings along the lines of "if I have to explain it to you, you wouldn't understand". As it turned out, Mr Bush was not the staunch conservative I had hoped he would be, and in fact may be partly responsible for the miserable state of the national GOP with their ongoing reluctance to abandon political moderation and move back to the solid right where they have previously succeeded.

If one is a staunch conservative, they ought to proudly proclaim they are conservative. Without qualifiers. And without apologies.

And then when they are elected, they should prove their conservative credentials every day, regardless of what protests their handlers and the middle-of-the-road GOP throw at them. Because if one is a true conservative, then they should also have the CAJONES to act like one. Do what is conservative, and do what is right (yes, that is redundant). And if they don't, then they don't get my vote again.

We Conservatives are battling a widespread image that to be conservative and to be republican are the same thing. I think the term "republican" is almost meaningless anymore. I don't think the same about the term "Conservative", except when it is viewed (all too often) as synonymous with republican. My answer to that is to make it clear to anyone who cares that I am a conservative but not a republican. That one can be a republican and not be a conservative (which is what comprises a majority of the GOP today).

President Ronald Reagan understood the Power of Words. He framed the debate on HIS Terms.
"How can Limited Government & Fiscal restraint be equated with lack of compassion for the poor? How can a tax break that puts a little more money in the weekly paychecks of working people be seen as an attack on the needy? Since when do we in America believe that our society is made up of two diametrically opposed classes--one rich, one poor--both in a permanent state of conflict & neither able to get ahead except at the expense of the other? Since when do we in America accept this alien & discredited theory of social & class warfare? Since when do we in America endorse the politics of envy & division?”

Reagan dissected the Statist's language & recast the morality of the message. Americans are Not at war with each other over money & class. And when Americans keep the fruits of their labor, it is a Good thing. This is both seminal & fundamental. The Statist's Vocabulary provides the Conservative with opportunities to highlight the Statist's duplicity & the bankruptcy of his ideas by stripping the rhetorical veneer from his message & contrasting it with the wisdom of the Conservative's Principles. The battle over language, like the battle over ideas, is one Conservatives should relish.

There's Probably Some Who are Reading this Note and May think Conservatives are More or Less than What I Described it to be. Some are probably Right and others Wrong. The Great Thing about being a Conservative is WE"RE ALL INDEPENDENT FREE THINKING INDIVIDUALS Who DO Disagree with each other on Many Occassions. That's to be expected with ANY LARGE GROUP of People. No Large Group is Perfect and Nobody can put a Perfect Definition on ANY Large Group. There are Differences but they SHOULD NOT Divide US or Pit one Conservative Against another over Our Differences.

I'm Not Looking for People to Agree with Everything I Say in this Note but to Understand that NOW is NOT the Time or Place in Our History to Bicker and Debate about Our Candidates Who Choose to put their Personal & Private Life on Hold to Campaign/Run as a Conservative for Public Office if We do in Fact Call Ourselves Conservative or Tea Party Patriots or Right Leaning Independents.

It's WRONG! It's Counter Productive and Destructive to the Conservative Movement to Take Back Our Country from the Radical Liberal Progressives Who Wish to Further make America into the Foreign Country it already has become! When it Should NOT have EVER been taken this Far as it is!

What We as Fellow Conservative Patriots Need to be doing and SHOULD be Doing is Supporting, Endorsing, Campaigning for and Donating Our Time and Money for these Candidates instead of Knee-Capping and NaySaying these Candidates Can't Win because they Champion Conservative Principles & Run as OutSpoken Conservatives ala Karl Rove, Chris Christie and National Websites Like NRO and The Weekly Standard. These Candidates Need Our Support, Encouragement, Time and Money More so than the Cookie Cutter GOP Establishment Moderate Types that the GOP Continues to support and back despite the Massive Defeats the GOP took Nationwide in the Mid Term Primaries of 2010.

What Good or Productive Outcome will be Produced from Knocking or Doubting these Conservative Candidates when they Run for Public Office?

I'm Not asking or Telling or Even Preaching to Blindly Follow Any Candidate that Claims to be Conservative when Running for Public Office on their Word but LOOK TO THEIR PRINCIPLES and See Where they Stand on THE ISSUES before Announcing Publicly what Your Concerns or Objections are to these Conservative Candidates. If and When they are found to be Phoney or Frauds, these Candidates Should be and MUST BE Exposed for Who and What they Really are.

I'm Not going to Stand in the way or Obstruct Anyone from saying the TRUTH and Presenting FACTS about Conservative Candidates Who aren't Really Conservatives. We Should be doing this on a Regular Basis and NOT Afraid or Ashamed to do it. Too Many RINO Republicans Like to Claim to be Conservative or Tea Party Candidates in Election Years when it's Fashionable to do so but THEIR PRINCIPLES and STANDS ON THE ISSUES Tell the REAL STORY! That should Remain the FOCUS!

My Final Plea to those Who Still Wish to Say these kinds of Harmful, Destructive and Counter-Productive Statements about Conservative Candidates Who May be Running for Public Office in 2012, Please bit Your Tongue with Your Skepitism about these Future Brave Conservative Candidates. Let's give them the Benefit of a Doubt before Casting Our naysaying Stones of Doubt if they can Win or Not.

America is Ready as Always to Elect Conservatives to Lead this Nation NO MATER WHERE YOU LIVE! I Must Remind You Again that President Ronald Wilson Reagan Lost At both the 1968 and 1974 Republican National Conventions before Beating President Jimmy Carter in 1980 and then Senator Walter Mondale Jimmy Carter's Vice President in 1984 in TWO MASSIVE LANDSLIDE VICTORIES in BLUE STATES, PURPLE STATES as Well as the Red States. Sure Reagan wasn't Perfect and made Mistakes. But Reagan was the Most Popular Modern Day Conservative President EVER Elected! Reagan Should Continue to be the Standard the Future Conservative Candidates Look to. Reagan Proved that America is a Conservative Nation as Long as We have a Strong, Passionate, Articulate and Resolute Conservative Leader Leading it.

Conservative Candidates have lost and Will Loss from time to time just as every other group or category has and does all of the time. Conservatives Can't Win Every Race or Battle but if they're True to their Conservative Principles, We Should be Supporting them with Our Voices, Time and Money. They are Representing YOU, Your Family, Friends, Neighborhoods and this Great Country.

My Point about the Reagan Comparison is that even Our best Example wasn't Successful at first but Stayed the Course & Eventually Won over the American People. That's how Victories are Achieved the Right way in America. Through Hard Work and Tons of Efforts. The Left isn't going to slow down, quit or hand over America to us. We Shouldn't Expect them to either. They Won't. They have a Right to be Wrong in this Country as We Do to be RIGHT but the Difference is We're on the Side of Justice, Freedom, Liberty, Personal Responsibility, Rule of Law and Private Property Rights. While they're Fighting for Bigger Government, More Regulations, More Taxes and Less Personal Responsibility.

We're on the RIGHT SIDE of History! We Will Win the War but We MUST Continue the Battles by Supporting the Solid Conservatives Who Choose to Stand up, Speak Out and Run to Represent Us in Public Office.

Let's Support these Candidates! Not Knock them! Undermine them! Redicule them! Or Underestimate their Effectiveness in the Marketplace of Ideas.

Don't Step on My Conservative Toes!

There's Are Conservatives Around Town Claiming that Conservatism is a" Product" to be "Sold" to the Masses like a "Product on tv".

I Fundamentally Disagree with this Assement and Comparison.
Conservatism is NO "Pitch" or "Hustle" or a "Product" to be Sold.

The Reason Conservatism is NOT a "Product" to be "Sold" is Because Conservatism is Based on Principled Philosophy Individuals Choose to Live their Personal Life by.

It's NOT a Game or Ploy Something Someone Buys from an Infomercial.

That is just a Ridiculous Comparison. It Cheapens what Conservatism is.

Conservatism is Much BIGGER Than that. It's a Way of Life.

An Individual's Choice of How They Live Their Life is Deeply Personal Made with Strong Convictions. Not to be Taken Lightly or Compared to Infomercials or Fast Food Products. It Takes People Years of Study and Self Education to Subscribe to Conservatism or Liberalism.

It's Foolish to Think or Say Otherwise.

As Such, this is NO TIME to be Attacking or "BLOGGING" about other Active Conservatives Who Are Faced with Daily Opposition.

Conservatives have a Hard Enough Time Defending their Point of View to Liberals.
Conservatism is NO Hype!

It’s NOT a Product to be “Sold”

No Salesmanship is Needed or Required to Sell a Quality Principled Philosophy that Stands on the Shoulders of the founding Fathers Then Carried on through the Years by Barry Goldwater and Ronald Reagan.

Now Conservative Talk Radio Show Hosts Like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, Laura Ingraham, Glenn Beck and Gordon G Liddy do Most of the Heavy Lifting but Conservatism hasn't Changed over ALL of these Many Years.

Nobody is reinventing Conservatism or should be.

Conservatism is Timeless and Classic.

It doesn’t need to be Tweaked or "Repackaged" to Anybody.

Conservatism sells itself.

The Truth and Facts convict a Person to Commit to One Political Philosophy or Another.

I Openly and Outright Reject this!

The Principles of Conservatism speaks for itself and Defends it’s own Philosophy.

If Self Described “independents” or So Called “Moderates” Supposedly still wants to argue with You & Call You Names or Labels, they’re Obviously NOT Interested in being Converted to a More Conservative Point of View.

They’re Out Looking for a Fight and an Easy Target to have a Fun Moment with at Your Expense. These Same People are what Mark Levin Calls “Drones” or “Lemmings” or “Kool-Aide Drinkers”. They’re NOT going to be Won Over by being Ignored or Laughed at as Some Have Suggested.

I’m in the Camp and Strongly Believe We Do Need to Defend Conservatism to Whoever Attacks it. I Believe Conservatism is Worth Defending. I’m NOT Talking about a Violent Defense or Ugly Political Debates but a Civil Discussion of How and Why You Believe in the Conservative Point of View.

That's a Discussion and Debate Always Worth Having in My Book! ALWAYS!

We as Conservatives Have NOTHING to Hide or be Ashamed of about Our Conservative Philosophy!

How Does Defending Your Conservative Point of View You Deeply and Passionately Believe in a Bad or Wrong Thing?

Conservatives Should NOT be "Eating their Own" or "Preaching" to other Conservatives about Approach, Tone or Tact but More Supportive ESPECIALLY When Conservatives are in the Minority Party Right Now and Fighting to Take Back the Republican Party that is Rightfully OURS!

This Internal Fighting and Bickering Needs to STOP!

It's NOT Helping Our Conservative Cause but IS Stunting the Growth of other New Conservatives Who See this and Will be Afraid to Stand up or Speak out against Personal Attacks due from lack of Support from Our Own People.

That's NOT Right!

Let Conservatives be Conservatives!

Let's Embrace Each Other and Support Each Other's Personal Battles Each of us Face Each Day. Not Attack, Call Out or try to Silence or Belittle those of us Who Have Already Stood up and Choose to Continue to Speak out Against Opposition.

These Conservative Brothers and Sisters Need ALL of the Loyalty and Support they can get these Days.
That's What I Think!
This is Where I Stand!

The Time for trying to Stand out and be a Superstar Conservative is NOT as Important as Defending Other Conservatives Who Face Daily Confrontations and Choose to Stand up, Speak Out and Defend their Conservative Point of View.

How about You?

Reagan, Obama and the Sign of the Times Ahead!

What an frustrating time it is to be a conservative living in America today.
The America I knew when I was growing up is trying to change into something foreign that I find harder and harder to identify myself with.
I grew up during the Reagan Years. I Have such great memories of President Ronald Wilson Reagan.
President Reagan left such a huge impression on me.
I naturally thought every president would be like him. To me, anything and everything was possible to Reagan as long as it was God's Will and good for the American people.
Reagan relied on the strength of the American people to defeat evil while he was our Commander in Chief.

Reagan was America's most popular President over the last 40 plus years. Reagan won two massive landslide victories. They weren't even close. Reagan first smoked Jimmy Carter in 1980 with 90.89% of the electoral votes or 489 electoral votes to Carter's 49 and then went on to spank Walter Mondale in 1984 with 58.8% Carrying 49 states to a total of 525 electoral votes to Mondale's pathetic 13 electoral votes. That is what a true landslide really is. Not even close. Leaving no doubt. Reagan was America's President.*

*Reagan’s 1980 Election Results - http://uspoliticsguide.com/US-Politics-Directory/H...
*Reagan’s 1984 Election Results - http://www.presidentelect.org/e1984.html

Compare that with what Obama calls his victory over Sen. John McCain in 2008 with only 52.7% to McCain's 46%. A difference of only 6% is NOT a mandate or a landslide Reagan-like Victory. Obama was just able to get a few more woman to vote for him with 56% to McCain's 43% and the younger crowd took to Obama more than McCain as well with 18-27 year old voting 66% For Obama to 32% for McCain. It was much closer in almost every other demographic which include men, voters older than 27.+

+Obama’s Election Results - http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/maps/obama...
http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/results/president...

My point is that Obama is NO Ronald Reagan. Obama's victory over McCain was weak and pathetic compared to Reagan's beat down on Carter and Mondale! Obama didn't receive a mandate or win in a landslide like Reagan did. In Fact, just the opposite is true. America was lost and confused. America decided to give the young, hip, fresh faced junior Senator from Illinois with a nice smile who played basketball and has a lovely eamily and NO executive experience a shot at the World's most powerful office since Republicans decided to run their most moderate candidate. That was a gamble the Republicans made and lost. Now every American (Republican or Democrat) is paying the price.

America is eagerly waiting another Reagan Presidency.

Some may have thought Obama would be that kind of President. Obama did run his campaign with key Conservative (popular) promises that he's already broken. His first more Conservative promise that Obama broke was his promise to allow everyone to see and read each and every single bill that lands on his desk to stay on his desk for at least a minimum of five days before signing it into law. That way everyone could read it, critic it and have an open and honest debate about it before it just gets signed into law. Obama wasted no time at all breaking that promise within his first few days of office. Obama has yet to allow a bill to sit on his desk for more than three days before signing it into law. That was just his first promise of many he'd go on to break.

The next and biggest promise Obama has broke was his promise to NOT raise anyone's taxes if you don't make more than $250,00 a year or more. Obama promised that 95% of Americans will not see their taxes raised while he is our President. Obama has passed cigarette taxes and plans to sign a cap and trade climate bill with many multiple tax increases in it. Obama also now favors a national sales tax to help pay for his Health Care Refrom Bill. Who knows when all of these taxes, fines, fees etc will ever end or stop or if they even can at this point with this radical liberal at the wheel leading our country into a soft tyranny which can then lead us into Socialism.

We have come a long way from the founders and framers of our constitution. They would have never allowed themselves to be ruled by a King again. That was the whole point of coming here and starting all over again. The Founders made America into something special. A "Shining City Upon a Hill" as Reagan said on January 25Th 1974. *1

*1 Reagan’s “Shining City Upon a Hill” Speech - http://www.originofnations.org/books,%20papers/quo...

Our Founding Fathers did create a very special place here. The Constitution they drafted on May 14Th 1787 was a document that was like no other in it's day or even today. That document separated our government from everyone else. America was unique and still is today. Despite the bumps and bruises and changes America had to make along the way, America continues to be a beacon of hope to billions around the World. Nobody else in the whole entire World enjoys our freedom or our liberty like WE DO! No other country in the World has as great of governing system in place like America does. America's free market and private sector is the envy of the World.

Freedom and liberty are NOT free! They came with a steep price. Many brave soldiers fought and died to protect our Civil Society we now love and enjoy. It's all due to the blood, sweat and lives of the brave men and women in the United States military who bravely fought wars in foreign countries to help/support our way of life. Our quality of life and standard of living is all due to their efforts. We honor and appreciate our troops for what they do.

My Conservative Conscience tells me that there is hope ahead in 2014 and again in 2016. America is waking up. America been herself lately. When America awakens in 2014 and 2016. I see a huge Conservative Revolution much like Newt Gingrich's rise to power as Speaker of the House in 1994 with His Contract For America or Bush's House and Congress Majority in 2004.

I still believe that America is right leaning Conservative. It needs to be to survive as the Founding Fathers intended. The National Gallop Poll Survey taken on June 15Th earlier this year proves that 40% of Americans polled identified themselves as "Conservatives" as Opposed to 35% "Moderates" or 21% calling themselves "Liberals".*2

*2 “Conservatives” Are Single-Largest Ideological Group in national Gallup Poll Surveys - http://www.gallup.com/poll/120857/conservatives-si...

This Gallup Poll, Mark Levin's Book LIBERTY AND TYRANNY: A CONSERVATIVE MANIFESTO's Success of 13 of 14 Weeks on Top of the New York Times Best Sellers List without a Word of Praise or Mention from the Mainstream Media is Insane and Unheard of, Prop 8 in CA Passed by the Majority of CA Voters being UpHeld by CA's Supreme Court, CA Voters Voting Against Every Tax Increase on May 20TH 2009.

There are still a few bright shining stars in the Republican party that we can look to in the future. These stars include Marco Rubio, Ted Stevens, Rand Paul, Allen West, Sarah Palin, Mike Lee and Tim Scott. There are more I did not name or list here but I am keeping a watchful eye on them for now. Conservative talk radio ratings are as high or higher than ever! Conservative authors like Mark Levin, Jedidah Bila, Monica Crowley, Katie Pavlich, Laura Ingraham and Glenn Beck are selling best-selling books like never before!
ALL positive signs of a Conservative Revolution coming in 2014 and again in 2016!

I'm posting this in response to democrats and RINO Repubicans Who keep trying to re-write history about President Reagan. Those who try to make him out to be a "Big Spender". History doesn't support that claim (lie). This Post explains the TRUTH and FACTS about Exactly what kind of fiscal President Reagan Really was. Enjoy this education via Facebook post. Smile http://www.aei.org/papers/economics/fiscal-policy/...

Like I said in the very beginning of this blog. This is a very frustrating time to be a Conservative. Please stay positive! Remain hopeful! Pray! Keep the Faith!

America will find her true Conservative self again in 2014 and again in 2016!

America IS The Land of The Free!

America IS The Home of the Brave!

God Bless America!

My Home Sweet Home!

I'm Calling Out The Moderates In The Republican Party

What is a "Moderate"?
Who are these "Moderates"?
What Principles do "Moderates" Stand For?What is a "Moderate's" Position on Nationalised Healthcare?
What is their Position on Immigration?
What is their Position on ManMade Global Warming aka Climate Change?
Do "Moderates" Always Agree with each other?
Why is the Mainstream Media Constantly Trying to Push the Conservatives Out of the Republican Party in Favor for "Moderates"?
Do "Moderates" have Moral Standards?
Do "Moderates" Believe in a Civil Society?
Do ALL "Moderates" Agree on Abandoning President Reagan's Principles and Reagan's Legacy?
Do ALL "Moderates" Believe Republicans Should Encourage this "Big Tent" that is ALL INCLUSIVE?
What is this BIG TENT I keep hearing about all of the time?
How can the Republican Party be a "BIG TENT" Party that is also ALL INCLUSIVE?

I Would Argue that the Republican Party CAN NOT and SHOULD NOT be this "BIG TENT" Party that is ALL INCLUSIVE!
Why the Republicans Still Need to Follow Reagan's Example.
This Party with a BIG TENT that is ALL INCLUSIVE already exists and the Democrats are already claiming it!

I Say Let them have it! They can keep it!

NO Party can be ALL Things to ALL People ALL of the Time! That is just Ridiculous!
You Can Fool ALL of the People Some of the Time but You Can't Fool ALL of the People ALL of the Time!
America doesn't Want or Need Politicians Who get to the Top of their Party by Sticking their Index Finger in their Mouth and then Sticking it High in the Air above their Head to see which way the Political Wind is Blowing.

I'm in Favor of a Democrat Party Surrendering their Principles to us for a Welcomed Change.
I Want to see the Radical Liberal Left give in on Compromising their Principles in Favor of Ours.
We Don't Need to Follow behind Our GOP Establishment Leaders like John McCain, Lindsey Graham, Mitch McConnell, John Boehner, Mitt Romney, Jeb Bush, Karl Rove, Kevin McCarthy, Olympia Snow, and Susan Collins.
We Need to Reject what they're Selling us and go for what has Worked for Reagan and Will Work for America again.
Too Many Times have We Seen Republicans Turncoat & Change Party Affiliation when Challenged in Primaries like Arlen Spector to a Democrat, Charlie Crist to an Independent, Markowski of Alaska as a Write in over a Solid Reagan Conservative (Joe Miller).

Look at what happened recently in Mississippi with Moderate RINO Career Republican Thad Cochran.  That Win does NOTHING to advance the Republican Party in November or 2016.  Nothing.  Talk about protecting the status Quo.  Chris McDaniel Would've been a Much Better Candidate for Mississippi.  Much Better.  But the Moderate RINO Establishment Republicans Rallied behind Thad anyways.  Disgusting!  I am Truly Thankful and Most Appreciative of David Brat for Defeating Eric Cantor in VA.  Eric Cantor was an Amnesty Loving Moderate that was cocky as hell and needed to be taught a lesson.  I do thnk Eric Cantor learned that lesson the Hard Way.  I, however, doubt that the RINO Establishment Leadership in the House and Seante have not learned it yet.  They ignored what happened to Eric Cantor and Pushed Hard Supporting Thad Cochran over Chris McDaniel.  In all of the wrong ways and for none of the right reasons.  Conservatives will Always remember and Never Forget what happened in Mississippi with how they Viciously Attacked Chris McDaniel.  I Know I Never Will.

The Republican Party is Better off Standing on the Right Side of History like when President Reagan was this Nation's Most Popular Modern Day President. Which I Doubt We'll see again until another Brave, Courageous, Smart, Witty, Intelligent, Classy, Principled, Grounded, Proud, Bold, Fearless Conservative Candidate comes along who is Not Afraid to Proudly, Boldly and Loudly Express Conservative Values and Principles just as Reagan did in All of his Years in Politics.

I Know that Reagan's Model is the Right Model Any Modern Day Candidate Should be Following because today's events are Not unlike the Challenges that Reagan Faced in the Early 80's after Defeating Jimmy Carter in Easily Winning in Two Massive Landslide Victories!
I Would Argue that Reagan Won Over America in those Two Massive Landslide Victories based on his Fame, Personality, Wit, Humor, Quality and Clarity of Speech when he Spoke about Policies and Reagan's Consistant Conservative Stances he made on every policy he Signed FOR THE PEOPLE!
That is what America Desperately NEEDS and CRAVES For Right NOW!

Ronald Wilson Reagan Challenged the Republican Establishment All of the Time.
He did this before he was President, During and Afterwards as Well.
At a Speech Reagan Gave at a CPAC on February 6, 1977, Reagan Addressed the Same Dilema on the heels of His unsuccessful effort to capture the Republican Presidential Nomination from the GOP Establishment Candidate, Gerald Ford.
Despite Calls from Conservatives for him to break with His Party, Reagan's Message was CLEAR:

"What will be the Political vehicle by which the Majority can assert its rights?  I have to say I cannot agree with some of my friends--perhaps including some of you here tonight--who have answered that question by saying this nation needs a new political party.  I Respect that view and I know that those who have reached it have done so after long hours of study.  But I believe that political success of the Principles We Blieve in can BEST be achieved in the Republican Party.  I Believe the Republican Party can hold and should provide the political mechanism through which the goals of the majority of Americans can be achieved.  For one thing, the BIGGEST single grouping of Conservatives is to be found in that Party.  It makes more sense to build on that grouping than to break it up and start over. Rather than a third party, we can have a new first party made up of people who share our Principles.  I have said before that if a formal change is name proves desirable, then so be it.  But tonight, for purpose of discussion, I'm going to refer to it simply as the New Republican Party.  And let me say so there can be no mistakes as to what I mean:  The New Republican Party I envision will not be, and cannot be limited to the country club-big business image that, for reason both fair and unfair, it is burdened with today. The New Republican Party I am speaking about is going to have room for the man and the woman in the factories, for the farmer, for the cop on the beat and the millions of Americans who may never have thought of joining our party before, but whose interests coincide with those represented by principled Republicanism.  If we are to attract more working men and women of this country, we will do so not by simply "making room" for them, but by making certain they have a say in what goes on in the party.  The Democratic Party turned its back on the Majority of Social Conservatives during the 1960s.  The New Republican Party of the late '70s and '80s Must welcome them, seek them out, enlist them, not only as rank-and-file members but as Leaders and as Candidates."

What was True in 1977 remains True TODAY!

Now, as then, the Republican Party is still home to the Reagan Conservative Republican Movement.

Though the party has sometimes lost its way, its Platform and body of Principles remain Strong--strong enough to survive even when its leaders momentarily lose sight of those Principles.America is Yearning for a President, Like Reagan,  to put his Principles before his Politics.
52.7% Believed that Politician Would be Barrack Obama.
Obama is a Politician who believes in his Principles and fights Well for them Daily.
Too Bad for Americans that Obama's Principles are NOT Conservative and Definately NOT anywhere Near what President Reagan's Principles.
Reagan Died Believing in CONSERVATIVE PRINCIPLES!
That was What Reagan Believed in to his last dying breath!
Obama believes in His Liberal Principles as well.
Obama's Liberal Political Principles have weaken America in Every Way, Shape and Form.
The Damage Done to America under his Leadership is so Bad that Even if Republicans Win Back Both The House and Senate making Obama's Final Years as President as a Lame Duck Presidency much like President Bush's 2nd Term when he was forced to work with a House and Senate that was Majority Democrats.

Even if a Conservative Republican Wins in 2016, it Will Still Take a Term or Two to Change/Turn things back around from Everything that Obama has ALREADY Done in his FIRST 100 DAYS.
It was that way for President Reagan after taking over for Jimmy Carter.  My Hope and My Prayer is that Whoever the Republicans do Nominate to run in 2016 is a Solid True CONSERVATIVE!
So Called "Moderates" Confuse People with their Mixed Views.
This Country can NOT Survive another FOUR Years under another Liberal Democrat Presidency or even a "Moderate" Candidate like Chris Christie, Jeb Bush, McCain, Romney, Huckabee, or even Rand Paul for that matter.
Only a True Solid Conservative can roll back these sweeping changes that Obama has already enacted.
We Need a CONSERVATIVE who can Articulate the Stark Differences between Conservatism and Liberalism.
A "Moderate" like Chris Christie, Jeb Bush, McCain, Romney, Huckabee, or even Rand Paul CAN NOT WIN because they are Moderate Candidates who Confuse People with their Mixed Views which are NOT CONSISTENT unlike a True CONSERVATIVE'S Message/Agenda IS CONSISTENT and EASY TO UNDERSTAND/FOLLOW!
It is Never Changing! How Bush's "Compassionate Conservatism" Hurt the Republican Party.
Conservatism is the ONLY Way to Defeat Obama's Soft Tyranny and Rebuild America Back to President Reagan's Heyday!
It Will ONLY Require a True CONSERVATIVE to get America Back to where America can be seen as a "Shining City on a Hill" with "Bold Colors!  NO Pastels!"
Any Watered Down or Weakened so called "Moderate" Will Never get this Job done and will ONLY do More Harm than GOOD.
Kinda of Like what President Bush did all throughout his Second Term.
President Bush had Some Conservative Principles that he Never Veered Away From which Were Extremely Important and Every American Should be Thankful For.
Bush's Strong National Defense and Pro-Life Stances Were Very Conservative Principles America Truly Needed. However, His Big Government, Spending, Immigration, Energy and Environmental Positions Really Hurt the Republican Party.
So Much So, that Obama did NOT have to Fight Long or Hard to Defeat the "Moderate" Candidate in McCain who the Rank and File Republicans all Lined up in Favor for. All Obama had to do was make Promises and NOT say anything stupid.
He Failed Horribly at the both but STILL Managed to Defeat the "Moderate" Candidate running against him. Nobody Really Wanted to see another President Bush in the White House and McCain's Moderate Stances gave his Republican Supporters Mixed Messages. Especially The CONSERVATIVE BASE of the Republican Party that wanted Whole Heartedly to Support McCain but in the end, just couldn't bring themselves out at the ballot Boxes. Why Senator John McCain Best Represents So Called "Moderates" and Why He Did Not Win the 2008 Race to be President.
McCain DOES Represent so Called "Moderates" for all of his "reaching across the aisle" and "Bipartisan" voting that he did while he was a Senator in a Very Red Conservative State of Arizona! (Barry Goldwater Territory)

It is My Opinion that McCain's views in favor of Immigration Reform (aka Amnesty) and his Weakness in Economics that finally did him in.
McCain's Age and Running away from his Conservative Base didn't Help Him Win Favor either.
Republicans Ran the OLDEST Republican against the YOUNGEST MOST Hip Democrat.
You Don't have to be clairvoyant to see how that Future would play out.
I Give Major Credit to Sarah Palin for doing her Best to Win Over Conservatives for McCain!
Palin's Presence and Speeches Turned Out Millions of Supporters/Voters for McCain that he Would've Surely LOST if he didn't select her to run with him as his Vice President.
The Crowds took to her Immediately and even I was caught off guards and surprised when McCain Picked her as it seemed Out of Nowhere!
Palin was the RIGHT PICK and Probably Could've Beaten Obama if she Ran Head-to-Head Against Him.
The Problem was that she had to Play by McCain's Rules and Follow his Lead since he was the Top of the Ticket and she was her Second in command. McCain Impressed Most Conservatives SO MUCH by Selecting this Little Known and WELL LOVED Candidate from Alaska that he was ALMOST Successful in Convincing Conservatives to Vote for him.

Unfortunately for McCain though, he was the TOP OF THE TICKET and he still Couldn't Convince MOST if NOT ALL Conservatives he wouldn't be another Bush. Palin would only be allowed so Much Influence on him from the Vice President's Role.
So the Turnouts Favored Democrats in almost every state except for in the South where Christian Values/Morals usually Vote Conservative NO MATTER WHAT.
They Still Showed up and Supported/Voted for McCain even though they knew that McCain probably wouldn't deliver the Conservative Principles he sometimes claimed to Champion like being Pro-Life and a Strong National Defense but Like I Mentioned earlier in this Note about Bush, We have Seen that before from Bush and he still hurt the Republican Party.

The Republican Party has had Many So Called "Moderates" try to lead this Nation and Our Party in the Past not based on talent or ability to lead but because they were considered "the guy next in line."
We've seen what Gerald Ford, George H.W. Bush, Bob Dole, George W. Bush, John McCain and Mitt Romney have all fallen Short.
They Failed us.
Those were the Moderate RINO Establishment's Dream Candidates Promising they were "The Only Candidates Who Could Win."
How Many Times are we going to fall for that line and hold our nose while voting for these Moderate RINO Establishment Candidates?
I'd Argue they've done More Harm to Conservatism and let America down by Not being Brave or Bold as Reagan was.

I Challenge these So Called "Moderates" to Show me Ten Universally Agreed Upon "Moderate" Positions on Important American Issues such as Strong National Defense, Pro-Life, Gay Marriage, Immigration, Gun Control, Economy, Big Government or Small Government, Big Spender or Fiscally responsible, Energy Independent or Environmental Friendly, Plans to Fix Social Security, Plans to Fix Medicare, Plans to Fix Medicaid, Education, and HealthCare.

Once I get these Answers to all of those Major Issues by So Called "Moderates" then I can take them Seriously as a Presidential Candidate.

THE TRUTH IS ALL OF THE ABOVE ISSUES AND MORE IS WHAT IT TAKES TO BE AN AMERICAN PRESIDENT!

Let's ALL Hope and Pray that GOD brings us a True Conservative Candidate to Follow and Support in 2016!
That is Really What America Needs Right Now More than Ever!
America Needs a Conservative in the mold of Ronald Reagan and Nothing else will do!
That is My Take on it......How about You?

The Best Way to Stimulate The Economy...Reagan's Way!

The Best Way to Stimulate the Economy would be for the Federal Government to Slash Capital Gains Taxes, Corporate Income Taxes, and the Individual Income Tax Rates, thereby increasing Liquidity available to Individuals and Businesses to Make Decisions about Their Own Economic Circumstances.

In 1981, President Ronald Reagan Championed the Passage of the Economic Recovery Tax Act (The Kemp-Roth Bill). It Cut individual Federal Income Tax Brackets by 25 percent, Phased Over Three Years, and Indexed the Rates against Inflation to Prevent Creeping Bracket Increases in Future Years. The Act also Instituted the Accelerated Cost Recovery System and a 10 Percent Investment Tax Credit, which led to a Substantial Increase in Capital Formation. The Goal was to Create Incentives by Removing Significant Government Barriers to Investment, Productivity, and Growth. The Result: Inflation Dropped from 13.5 percent in 1980 to 4.1 percent in 1988. Interest Rates dropped from 18 percent on a thirty-year fixed mortgage in 1981 to 8 percent in 1987; and Unemployment dropped from a peak near 10 percent in the recession of 1981-82 to 5.5 percent in 1989, once the full force of the tax cuts kicked in.* The Reagan economic program, based largely on free market principles, spurred economic prosperity that created, over the next twenty-five years, forty-three million jobs and $30 Trillion in wealth. http://townhall.com/columnists/georgeallen/2007/08/13/reagan_tax_cuts_lifted_americans

In The Free Market, A Man Born into Wealth or who has otherwise acquired Great Riches can lose his fortune depending on how he chooses to behave. Conversely, a Man Born into Poverty or who has lost wealth once obtained can acquire a fortune, depending, again, on how he chooses to behave. When the individual or even a large business makes a wrong decision, its impact is limited and more easily absorbed by the free market. However, when the Statist makes a wrong decision, its impact is far-reaching, for he uses the power of government to impose his decision on as many individuals and businesses as possible, which distorts the free market itself.

The Conservative understands that if America is to remain a vigorous, civil society in which the individual can continue to improve and progress, the forces arrayed against the free market must be interrupted and their course ultimately reversed. President Abraham Lincoln excapsulated it well when he said, "Property is the fruit of labor...property is desirable...is a positive good in the world. That some should be rich shows that others may become rich, and hence is just the encouragement to industry and enterprise. Let not him who is houseless pull down the house of another; but let him labor diligently and build one for himself, thus by example assuring that his own shall be safe from violence when built."

:) http://www.aei.org/papers/economics/fiscal-policy/president-reagan-champion-budget-cutter/
Bottom Line
is STOP with all of the Bailouts, Stimulus, Omnibus, TARP Etc. and give the Money back to the PEOPLE to Empower US to make Better Decisions with OUR OWN MONEY like WE DID Once before back in the Eighties from the Economic Recovery Tax Act, the Accelerated Cost Recovery System, and the Investment Tax Credit. America Should have Learned a Lessons from it's Own History when facing Economic Downturns of this Magnitude. This is NOT a first time America has faced times like this and Probably NOT the Last time either. How we faced it back in the early Eighties and how we are Facing it NOW is TOTALLY DIFFERENT. Obama and the Current Democratic Leaders in Washington are CHOOSING to follow closer to FDR's Recovery Model than Reagan's. Which is Sad and Tragic for Americans NOW living in America. It is OBVIOUS to ANYONE Who Lived and Survived the Early Eighties and SHOULD Know Better Fared FAR GREATER than those Who Suffered through and Survived the Prolonged Great Depression Era under FDR's Leadership. I am NO Genius or Rocket Scientist but MY GUESS and MY OPINION would be that if You Asked the People Who Survived through Rough Times in American History, Over 95% of them Would Favor President Reagan's Vision/Plan to Economic Recovery as opposed to FDR's or Obama's. That's Just My Guess/My Opinion though! Here is a Link to Show You the Difference of what Reagan faced and brought America through and what Obama faces today: https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJs5zfxzbwhQ0rDNy25vgfxlDjig8DIF1EFTwMk4rJTRv0CehcuIc-pNEaP7w9ujw2PWtLZyrcL4jxqLMkHDfYU5-pSCMgoG6V_kEsVPdk8U4zfan7bqcaFjBDSVAuVEzdvWhKHnTAR9KV/s1600-h/1980s.bmp

After Seeing that Chart and Reading ALL of the Above Evidence/Proof, it would be HARD (not impossible) to argue that Obama and the Current Democratic Majority in Washington doesn't have a Positive Model/Blueprint for Positive Results on HOW TO TURN AROUND THIS CURRENT ECONOMIC DOWNTURN AMERICA IS IN!!!! The Evidence/Proof is in the Facts. The Proof/Evidence has been Proven in Our History!! (not even more than 25 years ago)It's time Obama Stops looking to the past pointing blame at Bush and start giving America what they Voted him into office to do. Obama was supposed to Inspire Americans to Hope and Bring Sweeping Change but Instead WE GET NOTHING BUT MORE OF THE SAME!!!!! Give US a break and start doing YOUR Job Mr. President!! Americans are Literally SICK OF ALL OF THIS!!!!Here is My Last Link to a Graph that Shows just Exactly How Much Bush Spent and How Much Obama is Still Spending! http://blog.heritage.org/2009/03/24/bush-deficit-vs-obama-deficit-in-pictures/

Thank You For Taking the Time to Read this Blog. Hopefully it Helps to clear up some stuff You weren't Sure about before but NOW have a Reference Point to look back to when Talking about American Economics.
